Based on the concept of Escrevivências, by Conceição Evaristo, and on the theoretical-methodological perspective of Institutional Analysis, this paper aims at discussing how gender and race biased Governmental violence affects the lives of adolescents interned in a unit of the Social-Educational System in Rio de Janeiro for socio-educational measures (MSE). Conversation sessions with the interns as well as the legal documents that trace the path of these young people to the MSE were also considered. Despite all the violence, these adolescents resist and fight for basic rights, while reporting their stories and with words draw (im)possible ways of living in a genocidal society.
