DESARROLLO Y EVALUACIÓN DE UNA APLICACIÓN DE SALUD BASADA EN LA WEB PARA LA GESTIÓN DEL ESTRÉS

Resumen

El estrés es una respuesta neuropsicofisiológica de autopreservación, modulada por un proceso de evaluación cognitiva de los estresores. De este modo, se entiende que su gestión es posible a través de la psicoeducación. El objetivo fue desarrollar y evaluar una aplicación web para la gestión del estrés, fundamentada en la psicoeducación. La aplicación estuvo compuesta por 24 situaciones estresantes, cada una con ocho posibilidades de afrontamiento y, al final, se presentaban mensajes psicoeducativos de acuerdo con el desempeño de afrontamiento de la persona participante. La aplicación fue evaluada mediante tres estudios de caso, que incluyeron un pretest y un postest sobre la percepción del estrés, así como entrevistas para identificar la percepción de las personas participantes sobre la misma. Los resultados muestran que la aplicación fue funcional en la modificación de la percepción del estrés, ampliando el repertorio de afrontamiento y generando autorreflexión y autopercepción de los estresores. Sin embargo, se observó que la herramienta requiere mejoras desde la perspectiva de la tecnología de la información.
