About the Journal

History and Commitment

PLURAL was born from the initiative of professors from the Department of Psychology at Unesp-Bauru committed to research in various fields of psychological science and in interfaces with other areas of knowledge. The constant dialogue space and diversity of ideas between professors, lines of theoretical thought and different methodologies was built in meetings with its members to think about and materialize the journal. We were at the end of 2018 and in 2019, much of the design was ready, but the COVID-19 pandemic delayed completion and the launch took place in 2022: time is needed to reflect the historic moment of rebuilding ties and new forms of pacts and dynamics in society. In January 2023, the journal also began to have a link with the Postgraduate Program in Developmental Psychology and Learning at the Faculty of Sciences of the São Paulo State University - UNESP/Bauru.

The clarity and necessity of publishing articles and other original manuscripts or disseminating knowledge with social, philosophical and artistic reflections with links to the science of Psychology and with respect for human dignity is the commitment of professors in the psychology department with PLURAL. The journal does not have publication fees; maintains the defense of public, secular and quality University Education and has resources from the Department of Psychology. Since 2023, the journal is published in a rolling pass format.

The indispensable public University, with critical thinking and commitment to scientific production aimed at the development of national issues and global collective interests are the roots of PLURAL – because Brazilian soil is rich in diversity. We invite all researchers interested in publishing their work.
