This text presents experiences lived in four years as a professor in the Psychology course at Unesp-Bauru and how they brought important examples of social and academic resistance inside and outside the university. Four fundamental aspects make the present course relevant in the current conjuncture: (1) resistance in the union field, against the precariousness of higher education; (2) resistance in the social field, when the university allies itself to the social struggles against the neoliberalism; (3) fight against the easing of academic training, reaffirming the teaching-research-extension tripod; (4) finally, Psychology course as an example of solid and non-technical training. It is these spaces of resistance that made it possible for me - and for others have passed through and are still there – to gain knowledge that allows us to find the strength to continue fighting for a public university of quality and a more just society.
